God’s Love
God’s Grace
God’s Mercy
God’s Kindness
God’s Desire
God’s
Unspeakable
Gift
“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.”
(II Corinthians 9:15)
-God’s Son, Jesus Christ-
-Eternal Life-
God has a gift that is so great and wonderful that He calls
it His "unspeakable gift". There are no words that can
express its greatness. It is a gift that has already been
paid for, by Jesus, so it costs us nothing. It is a gift that
only God can give. He truly desires to give it to every
person, but a person much choose to do what God says
must be done in order for Him to give His gift. This gift
is the greatest, best and most important thing that a person can ever
have!
GOD’S UNSPEAKABLE GIFT
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans
6:23). Jesus is life, eternal life, everlasting life.
GOD’S LOVE:
-The one, true and living God, our Creator, our Maker,
loves every person with a great love. God loves you!
-John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn
the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.”
1
-I John 3:16 “Hereby perceive we the love of God,
because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to
lay down our lives for the brethren.”
-I John 4:9, 10 “In this was manifested the love of God
toward us, because that God sent his only begotten
Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he
loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for
our sins.”
Every person, which includes you and me, is guilty of sin
against God. We must understand this and be willing to
admit it and confess it to God. Each one is spiritually
dead in his trespasses and sins, until he is given spiritual
life from God when he receives the Lord Jesus Christ as
his personal Saviour and is born again spiritually of God,
thus becoming a child of God.
-Ecclesiastes 7:20 “For there is not a just man upon
earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”
-Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous,
no, not one.”
-Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God.”
-Ephesians 2:1 “And you hath he quickened, who were
dead in trespasses and sins.”
Even though we are all guilty sinners, God loves us!
-Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
2
GOD’S SON:
-Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God (cf. John
3:16-18 on Page 1).
-Mark 1:1 “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
the Son of God.”
-John 20:30, 31 “And many other signs truly did Jesus in
the presence of his disciples, which are not written in
this book: But these are written, that ye might
believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and
that believing ye might have life through his name.”
-God sent His Son into this world of humanity. Jesus is
God the Son, and He was made to be a man. Jesus is
the unique God-man. Again, this was done because
He loves us all. (cf. I John 4:9, 10 on Page 2).
-Galatians 4:4 “But when the fulness of the time was
come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman,
made under the law.” Jesus was conceived in the
womb of Mary, a virgin, by the power of the Holy
Spirit. Jesus had no human, biological father, thus, He
was born without a sin nature. Jesus is the ONLY man
ever to be conceived without sin, to live without sin
and then to die as a totally sinless man. Again, Jesus is
absolutely unique! There is no other one like the Lord
Jesus Christ!
-The gospel (‘good news’) of Christ is that He loved us all,
and that He suffered, shed His precious blood and died
for our sins on the cross of Calvary. Jesus experienced
death for the payment for our sins. Jesus has done all
the work necessary to make salvation available to
every person.
3
-The Gospel of Christ:
-I Corinthians 15:3-5 “For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received, how that Christ died for
our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day according
to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas,
then of the twelve.” [Jesus is alive for evermore!].
-Jesus’ sacrifice of Himself paid for God’s “unspeakable gift”.
-Hebrews 2:9 “But we see Jesus, who was made a little
lower than the angels for the suffering of death,
crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace
of God should taste death for every man.”
-Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in love, as Christ also hath
loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and
a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
-I Peter 2:21-24 “For even hereunto were ye called:
because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an
example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no
sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when
he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered,
he threatened not; but committed himself to him that
judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in
his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye
were healed."
-The gospel of Christ is very special. This is what must be
believed by a person in order for God to save his soul.
-Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to
every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to
the Greek.”
4
Our Required Response to the Gospel of Christ:
I. Hear the gospel of Christ and believe it.
-Mark 1:15 “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the
gospel.”(This was Jesus speaking.)
-Acts 15:7 “.. hear the word of the gospel, and believe.”
II. Repent toward God. (Turn; have a change of the desire
of your heart concerning sin and God. Turn from the
desire to sin and from unbelief, and turn to God and
desire to be made righteous and for God to save you.
Have a heart-felt sorrow for your sins against God.)
-Luke 13:3 Jesus said, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye
repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
-Acts 17:30, 31 “And the times of this ignorance God
winked at; but now commandeth all men every
where to repent.”
-Acts 20:21 “Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the
Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward
our Lord Jesus Christ.”
III. Trust in, believe in, the Lord Jesus Christ as your
personal Saviour. Our faith must be in Him.
-See John 3:16 on Page 1; see Acts 20:21 above.
-Acts 16:30, 31 “And brought them out, and said, Sirs,
what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
and thy house.”
5
-Galatians 3:26 “For ye are all the children of God by
faith in Christ Jesus.”
-II Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast
known the holy scriptures, which are able to make
thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in
Christ Jesus.”
-I John 3:23 “And this is his commandment, That we
should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ,
and love one another, as he gave us commandment.”
IV. Call upon the name of the Lord asking Him for His
forgiveness, mercy and for His salvation.(Pray to the
Lord using your own words from your own heart.)
-Luke 18:13 “And the publican, standing afar off,
would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven,
but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful
to me a sinner.”
-Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved.”
So in order for God to save a person, that person must:
-Hear the gospel of Christ and believe it.
-Repent toward God.
-Trust in, believe in, the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal
Saviour. Our faith must be in the Lord Jesus Christ.
-Pray, call upon the name of the Lord asking Him for
His forgiveness, His mercy and for His salvation.
When these are sincerely and genuinely done from the
person’s heart, then God will give His unspeakable gift,
eternal, everlasting life, to this person!
6
GOD’S GRACE, MERCY, AND KINDNESS:
God, by His grace and His mercy, saves sinners that
believe the gospel of Christ and then respond by
doing that which God says we must do, as given
above.
The word ‘grace’ means ‘unmerited favor’, ‘undeserved
favor’, ‘undeserved blessings’. Salvation is the gift of
God to undeserving sinners. The word ‘mercy’ means
that due punishment is not given. Both God’s grace
and His mercy are extended to sinners only through
His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
-Ephesians 2:5 “Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are
saved;).”
-Ephesians 2:8, 9 “For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
-Titus 3:4-7 “But after that the kindness and love of God
our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which
he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our
Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should
be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
GOD’S GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE: (You can live forever in
glory with God if you will receive God’s gift!)
-Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
7
-I John 5:11, 12 “And this is the record, that God hath
given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not
the Son of God hath not life.”
-I John 5:20 “And we know that the Son of God is come,
and hath given us an understanding, that we may
know him that is true, and we are in him that is true,
even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and
eternal life.”
-Thus, God’s unspeakable gift is His Son, and His gift is
eternal life. Jesus is eternal life! Jesus is the life!
GOD’S TRUE DESIRE: (That all people would be saved.)
-I Timothy 2:3, 4 “For this is good and acceptable in the
sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be
saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
-II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his
promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Other Helpful Scriptures From the Book of Romans:
-Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned.” [Sin entered
the human race through Adam, the first man.]
-Romans 5:19 “For as by one man's disobedience many
were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall
many be made righteous.” [Adam’s disobedience; and
the Lord Jesus Christ’s obedience.]
8
-Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
-Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
-Romans 10:8-13 “But what saith it? The word is nigh
thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the
word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not
be ashamed. For there is no difference between the
Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich
unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
-Romans 3:21-26 “But now the righteousness of God
without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the
law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all
them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God; Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath
set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his
blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission
of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:
that he might be just, and the justifier of him which
believeth in Jesus.”

Other Helpful and Encouraging Scriptures
-John 1:12, 13 (concerning the Word, Jesus Christ) “But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
-John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath
everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall
not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
-John 11:25, 26 “Jesus saith unto her, I am the
resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he live: And
whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this?”
-John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.”
-John 20:30, 31 “And many other signs truly did Jesus in
the presence of his disciples, which are not written in
this book: But these are written, that ye might believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that
believing ye might have life through his name.”
You can live forever with the Lord in glory by receiving
His gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Your only
other option is to die lost, and one day be cast into the
lake of fire and brimstone, and be tormented forever.
-John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
-Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Make sure that you personally have received God's gift of eternal life, and then share with others the
scriptures from God's word telling them what they must do to be saved and have eternal life.
