“The Walk of New Testament Church Members”

['Walk' is how a person conducts his life, his behavior and his course of life. God tells those in His New Testament churches how to walk. This applies to each one that is saved, has been scripturally baptized and is a member of one of His churches.]

Walk according to this rule:
Galatians 6:14-16 “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.”

Walk after God’s commandments:
II John 6 “And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.”

Walk after the Spirit:
Romans 8:1, 9 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. .. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.”

Walk as children of light:
Ephesians 5:8 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”

Walk as Jesus Christ walked:
I John 2:6 “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.”

Walk by faith:
II Corinthians 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

Walk circumspectly, as wise:
Ephesians 5:15, 16 “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Walk honestly (behave as children of God):
Romans 13:13 14 “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”
I Thessalonians 4:12 “That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.”

Walk in Christ Jesus the Lord:
Colossians 2:6, 7 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”

Walk in good works:
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit:
Acts 9:31 “Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.”

Walk in love:
Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”

Walk in newness of life:
Romans 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Walk in the light:
I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Walk in the Spirit:
Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Walk in truth:
II John 4 “I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.”
III John 3, 4 “For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Walk in wisdom:
Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

Walk to please God:
I Thessalonians 4:1 “Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.”

Walk worthy of God:
I Thessalonians 2:12 “That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto His kingdom and glory.”

Walk worthy of the Lord:
Colossians 1:10-12 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”

Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called:
Ephesians 4:1 “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,”

WALK NOT:
Walk not as other Gentiles walk
Ephesians 4:17-19 “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”

Walk not in darkness:
John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Walk not after the flesh:
Romans 8:1, 4 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. .. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Walk not in rioting, drunkenness, chambering, wantonness, strife nor envy:
Romans 13:13, 14 “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

Walk not by sight:
II Corinthians 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
