"Rejoice in the Lord alway:
and again I say, Rejoice" (Philippians 4:4).
In this little booklet we have included a few Scriptures
to encourage, help and to remind God's children to
be rejoicing in Him. If you will read these in the
context of the verses before and after them in the
Bible this will help in understanding them better.
Even though we are presently here in this dark and
ungodly world, we have great reasons to be rejoicing
in our Saviour.
We hope you will enjoy, be benefited and encouraged
by the Scriptures given. To God be the glory!
A born again, child of God should keep his focus much
more on the Lord than on this world. The more we
think on and focus on the Lord, the more we will
rejoice in Him.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight, and the sin which doth so
easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the
author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the right
hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:1, 2).
"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things
which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right
hand of God. Set your affection on things above,
not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in
God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory"
(Colossians 3:1-4).

perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be
found unto praise and honour and glory at the

Reasons to be continually rejoicing in the Lord would
certainly include the glorious gospel of the Lord
Jesus Christ. The gospel ('good news') of Christ is
that He loved us and ".. that Christ died for our
sins according to the scriptures; And that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures: And that he was
seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:"
(I Corinthians 15:3-5).
Everything about eventually being with our heavenly
Father eternally in glory is reason to be continually
rejoicing now. We can rejoice in the salvation that
God gives and the security that every child of God
has in Christ. Once a person is born of God, then he
is a child of God eternally. Heaven holds more
reasons to be rejoicing that we can even
comprehend. Think about being in the very
presence of the Lord, to see Him and His glory, and
the beauty and the glory of heaven. Rejoice!
So from the scriptures we find that God's children are
to be rejoicing in Him continuously for His salvation
and for the gospel of Christ, and for security in
Christ, His strength, His Word, His provisions,
His protection, His promises, His plan, His purposes,
His rewarding and much more.
"Rejoice in the Lord alway:
and again I say, Rejoice" (Philippians 4:4).
